Canadian Baggage-Express cars from Wheels of Time in N scale!;)
WOT Brochure CP-CN PNGWe are super excited to present the Canadian Pacific and CP Rail baggage cars re-purposed for their maintenance-of-way work train use. Our cars give you the heavyweight feel of the prototype CP Railway "service" cars (CP speak). These CP cars might be still in use today under the CPKCS banner. If you find them in CPKCS work train service, do forward photos to Wheels of Time! Further, Canadian National Railway fans are not to be left out. We are making a series of baggage cars that served on CN passenger trains. Canadian National in the classic 1954 "Maple Leaf" livery and the 1961 "Wet Noodle" scheme. You don't want to miss these - espcially if you model anything in Canada. The CN cars made international appearances on U.S. bound trains including Chicago, Detroit and Washington D.C. A special thank you to Don Figol from the Canadian model railroading community in helping make these cars accurate!
The Models - Well researched lettering and paint scheme for Canadian Pacific (M-o-W) and Canadian National (Maple Leaf / Wet Noodle schemes) on our baggage-express cars in N scale. All new car numbers, extra fine details, sliding baggage doors {wood, multi-pane, modernized}, nicely weighted for the runner, adjustable draft gear, 6-wheel heavyweight drop-equalizer passenger truck (Type 2410), knuckle couplers, arched roof.
These cars are in production with completion at the factory estimated to be in December 2024. They are limited run quantities, so we suggest not to delay but pre-order now.

Canadian Pacific repurposed there 1921 Canadian Car & Foundry heavyweight arched roof baggage cars for their service cars (a.k.a maintenance-of-way). Car no. 404911 carried Fire Fighting equipment and was stationed in Edmonton, AB. Car no. 404906 was in general work service. These cars had the "Canadian Pacific" 1962 script scheme and remain in this paint into the 1980s.

Canadian Pacific repurposed there 1921 Canadian Car & Foundry heavyweight arched roof baggage cars for their work service cars (a.k.a maintenance-of-way). Car no. 404113 carried cable equipment and is stationed in Coquitlam, BC. Car no. 404910 is assigned in tool car service. The CP Rail livery was adopted in 1968. Whether these cars were actually repainted in 1968 is not clear. However, these cars definitely saw service in 1987 and 1999, respectively. We have speculation of what is "cable". Could it be for cables used in crane service, fiber optics, electrical wiring for signal system or won't it be fun - a "S.F. cable car"? Canadian National fans, Wheels of Time have two classes of very similar looking cars. Class BE-73-C built in 1938-1939 by Canadian Car & Foundry (CCF). Three of them lasted into 1974 and most likely in the Maple Leaf livery. Numbers 8729 - 8738 did not have side body windows.
Also, Class BE 73-D built in 1941by CCF. Two were in service in 1972. "73" stands for over the end sills*. (See below for a diagram BE 73-C).
Both classes were used in express services (e.g. today's UPS packages) as well as carrying passenger luggage.
